Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to all from TaTa and the Bean !

Bean's uncle on her father's side took best of breed in the recent AKC/Eukanuba Championship at Long Beach this month. That is very exciting! Bean is certainly a show prospect!!! The dog's name is CH Bar None Travelingtoelmerstune, he is half brother to Bean's daddy, same sire: Bar None Travling Firstclass.

Bean and her Cousin, Aussie Puppy, Echo

Bean and her Aussie puppy cousin, Echo on Thanksgiving Day. When they first met, Bean was bigger...not by much, but at least she had the upper hand. On Thanksgiving, Echo had already surpassed Bean in size and strength, but not quite in tenacity!!!

Christmas Photos

My good friend and pet photographer, Pam has taken some wonderful shots of my dogs over the years. She is the reason Autumn is in the 2009 Avonside Pomeranian calendar, as well as every other calendar that Autumn and Hurri were in over the last five years.

Top row, second from the left, picture of the three pommies. Tata is the fabulously beautiful one on the left!

This year, Autumn AND Hurri are proudly displayed on Pam's website in the Christmas section under photography & Art.

Bean's Heritage

CH Wyndsong's King of the Hill
This is Bean Bag's grandfather on her mother's side. If he is any indication as to what my little girl might look like, we've got a winner!!!
In researching Bean's heritage, I was able to find quite a bit of information on a number of dogs in her line on Pedigreedatabase.com, which is where i found this photo. Great website. Photos of many dogs and nice pedigree information. I can go back generations with some of her ancestors on this website.
CH Wyndsong's King of the Hill comes from Wyndsong Kennel in Texas.

Halloween with the Smith Pack

Halloween with Autumn. We have been going to my sister's house for Halloween since Autumn was a youngster. Halloween is not the same unless we celebrate it with the DuBois. The house is all decorated and kids come from miles around to see Autumn...I mean the decorations!!!

This year was Bean's first Halloween, and she was in the lime-light. The Pirate theme didn't bother her at all, neither did the hoards of children and screaming witches. Bean is a fearless Boston.

Autumn was the prime greeter as we sat on the porch, Bean sleeping in my lap most of the time, and handed out the candy to the costumed children.

Today...they sleep.

Bean

Bean has arrived. I have been waiting for this dog for years, and now she is here in our lives. With Hurri gone, Autumn and I needed to add another dog to our depleted pack. I've had a crush on the Boston Terrier for years and decided that now was the time to find my perfect Boston.

Bean comes from a breeder in the high desert that has done a wonderful job of it. She raised a beautiful, healthy and oh so happy puppy. Suzie Fields, thank you for that.

Bean was born July 28, 2008. Her AKC registered name will be "Perennial's Magical Fruit". Her first night with Autumn and I she proved herself to be worthy of the name. She was getting a little bit of green tripe in her meals with Suzie, and let me tell you that green tripe smells worse coming out in a gaseous form than it does going in. Bean no longer eats green tripe!

Good Bye Hurricane

My beloved Hurricane died in an accident on Thursday, August 14, 2008. His sudden and tragic passing left Autumn and I grief stricken and clinging to each other for comfort.

Hurri was aptly named; a whirling dervish of excitement and anxiety, with an abundance of enthusiasm for life, food and Autumn and me. As a puppy his coat was nearly bright white, but he loved to get that big beautiful coat of his into whatever kind of mess he could find, mud or turkey drippings on Thanksgiving. As he grew up, Hurri found an avenue of release for his energy in Canine Agility. He was a speedy little agility competitor, with flare and pizazz. Unfortunately, when our agility trainer moved out of our reach and I started school full-time, we had to cut back on our agility training and competition, so Hurri had not reached the Excellent level in AKC agility titles. However, he had several Blue Ribbons which we worked hard to get. He was always a winner in our eyes.

Hurri and Autumn we nearly inseparable. The loss of Hurri has left Autumn an only dog, and she misses her boy. We all miss Hurri. There will never be another like him.
